Hi i want to connect my Daughters Nintendo DSI to the internet, but it asks for a wep key to the wireless network. i dont know what it is , as i forgot it . How do i find it?

It depends on the router. with some routers you can see the key i the webinterface. With other routers (DLink) its not so easy to see the key

Thanks for reply m8 my router is netgear on virgin media. i cant find the key ..i ndont even remember having one. google does not help .

Hmm i will look but i dont seemn to see. the router is installed with virgin manager but nothing shows. ok i will look tomorro with a clear head.

hi chaos

is simple:

1.if u didnt put a wep key like i did on my router than the standars is:0000000000(10 of 0) so u can try to conect with these zeros.
2.if u can not coneect even like that uhave to reset the router for taking standard settings.
u can do that by keeping press the reset button more than 10 seconds.
in this situation will have the factory settings again
u connect to router by standard user and pass:user-ADMIN password:password(in lower case letters both)

than u go in the menu of router and set it again for wireless

Ah thanks pk i reset the router to default factory settings then create a new password (wich i have wrote down) lol. and now i can connect the Dsi console. Thanks for help m8s.

Dont use WEP !!

WEP is easy to hack in 5 minutes with lots of stuff you can find in the internet.

Better use WPA or WPA2

I agree, but Nintendo DSi doesn't support WPA or WPA2.

I added the MAC filter to that and only put on wireless when my daughters are using it
